Our Client, a well-established IFA firm specialising in pensions, pension transfers, corporate employee benefits, SIPPS, SSASs, investments and IHT planning, has an immediate requirement for an experienced Paraplanner to join the team, on either a full-time, or part-time basis (circa 30-32 hours). This is a superb opportunity for a candidate wishing to continue their career in the Financial Services industry within a highly professional practice with excellent support.

The role is to provide all paraplanning support to the Advisers within the practice, including report writing, research and other areas as directed from time to time.  Additionally, to ensure clients receive suitable advice in accordance with their needs and priorities, based on the information provided by the company Advisers.  To produce and develop compliant reports and obtain any research, application forms and company literature as deemed necessary for the recommendations and subsequent sale of products.

Responsibiilities will include:
·        Be responsible for managing own workload and attend team update meetings and provide update on own workload
·        Review the files and produce any information required by the Adviser prior to the appointment
·        Arrange and attend (where needed) a ‘post’ client meeting appointment with the Adviser
·        Attend meetings with clients to complete paperwork where required
·        Identify and action points from the meeting and record on Intelliflo
·        Build relationships with clients and be the point of contact via email and telephone.
·        Speak to clients to take instructions and explain procedures for taking benefits and reply to their queries. This may include answering technical questions where no advice is required.
·        Run and maintain a diary system on Intelliflo to record any actions completed or any work undertaken, and assign tasks to other team members to ensure work is completed
·        Creation and maintenance of standard templates and letters for client contact
·        Willing to see things from your client’s viewpoint.  Listening, questioning and clarifying in order to understand your clients’ needs.  Using client feedback to drive improvements.  Tailoring communications to meet client needs.
·        Undertake bespoke client research and calculations for tax, personal allowance, annual allowance, tapered annual allowance, lifetime allowance etc where required
·        Review Defined Benefit plan information and complete analysis when required
·        To use any research tools, as recommended by the Head of Paraplanning to assist in recommendations for the reports
·        To use the standard templates provided to produce client reports for the Advisers
·        To arrange follow up meetings with the Advisers to present the completed action points, ensure the advice is compliant and bring any additional points to consider to the adviser’s attention
·        To make any necessary amendments requested by the Adviser
·        To produce final copies of reports, and any additional items noted as addendums
·        To work within the regulatory requirements of the FCA at all times
·        To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act, and any other guidance which forms part of the day to day role
·        To report any potential client complaints
·        To check meeting packs, valuations and letters completed by other team members
·        To place trades and submit new business and be responsible for following procedures in respect of this.
·        To help with the training, development and workflow management with less experienced team members
·        Provide holiday cover for any team member, as required
·        To work as part of a team within the office environment
·        Pursue own personal development and learning, keep up to date with industry changes undertake internal and external training.  Making full use of learning hour allocated each week such as watching webinars
·          To liaise with Clients, Partners and staff within the Company in an open, professional and co-operative manner, at all times

Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)

·        Must have previous paraplanning experience
·        Excellent analytical skills and work in a structured and planned manner
·        Must be confident in dealing with clients both over the telephone and face to face
·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·        Positive attitude to work regularly demonstrated
·        With support, reflect on work practices, identify learning and development needs and take steps to develop own knowledge and skills as required
·        Desire to attain additional professional qualifications
