As part of their continuing growth, a successful, niche Financial Services recruitment agency are seeking a talented Business Development Manager, to cover the North East of England.
Purpose of the role:
– To work with the delivery function to identify and maximise new business opportunities in existing clients and leverage all commercial opportunities across major key accounts
– To contribute to the strategic direction of the business through identifying and creating commercial ‘recruitment solutions’ for major business gains
– To achieve specific new business targets and growth goals
Key Responsibilities:
· Pro-actively network and upsell within existing clients
· Leads review meetings where required, with existing major accounts
· Network with contacts across the industry to develop new contacts in existing clients
· Take a lead role for high profile accounts
· Initiate and lead new client pitches and major account opportunities
· Keep abreast of industry challenges to ensure innovative recruitment solutions are being presented to clients
· Seek and identify new and commercially viable business opportunities
· Pro-actively map and network with contacts, to develop strategically important relationships
· Deliver against overall Client Development Strategy
· Initiates new and innovative client development methods
· Works closely with Director to identify new client engagement strategies based upon client and market demands
· Identifies and attends all relevant industry events and networking opportunities
· Keeps abreast of industry updates and is ‘known’ as a Market Expert in their field
· Is a member of relevant industry Associations / networking groups
· Markets MPC’s to senior level contacts
· Actively blogs and creates industry engaging content on a regular basis
· Runs an industry ‘group’ on Linkedin/Facebook
· Creates webinars, strategy sessions and is highly pro-active in all areas of social media, to create awareness and to generate new business
· Analyses own performance regularly to ensure they remain on track
· Excellent use of pro-active client development systems
· Pro-active in identifying new opportunities and innovative creative solutions
· Achieves and monitors their own monthly new business activities
Minimum 5x GCSE (including Maths and English)
· Must have previous experience of sales/telesales, ideally B2B
· Pro-active approach – hunter type
· Enjoys building and leveraging a network
· Confident
· Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
· Ability to engage and network at Director level
· Ability to sell high level commercial solutions
· Can confidently lead and control business meetings
· Can spot opportunities with ease
· Leverages their knowledge and contacts for commercial gain

· High level of self-drive and discipline
